Your first ride is fully unlocked. As soon as that ride logs 5 km or more, the trial is considered consumed — your next activity start will show the activation overlay. Rides under 5 km don't count, so accidentally tapping Start/Stop won't burn your trial.
Three things must line up: 1) the Edge has Bluetooth contact with your phone, 2) Garmin Connect Mobile is running on the phone with internet, 3) RSGauges has been opened since payment. If all three are true and it still hasn't unlocked within 2-3 minutes, force-quit the data field (Menu → Activity Profiles → Data Pages → toggle the field off and back on). Still stuck? Email support@rsgauges.app with your Stripe receipt.
Activation is bound to the device storage, which a reinstall wipes — the Edge generates a new identifier. We can move your license to the new ID manually: forward your Stripe receipt to support@rsgauges.app and we'll reissue within a business day. Free of charge.
No problem. Email support@rsgauges.app within 30 days of purchase. We'll process the full refund through Stripe — funds usually land back on your card within 5-10 business days. We don't ask why.
Yes. Once activated, the license is verified offline on every boot using a signed token stored on the Edge. You can ride anywhere — Pyrenees, mountains, no signal — without pinging our servers. Internet is only needed once at activation.
Today: Edge 1050 only. We're building support for the Edge 1040 next, with the 840/1030+ to follow. If you have one of those, email us — we'll let you know the moment it ships.
No. RSGauges is an independent Connect IQ data field built by Perfectum LLC-FZ. We use Garmin's public Connect IQ SDK and ship through their store, like any other developer.
Almost nothing. We store a random per-device identifier generated on first launch, your payment record (handled by Stripe), and your email if you provide one for recovery. We never see your ride files, GPS tracks, power numbers, or anything else the Edge records. Full details on the Privacy page.
Both, via Stripe Checkout. The pay page detects what your phone supports and shows the right button. All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) also work.
Yes, one transfer is included. Email support@rsgauges.app from the address used at checkout with the old and new device IDs (find them in Menu → About on each Edge). We'll move the license over within a business day.
Sign up at /referral/signup. You'll get a unique code and a private cabinet where you can track conversions and request payouts. Up to 25% commission, 30-day hold, $50 minimum payout via Wise or USDT.
